Following thirteen and a half years as a Senior Research Consultant for both global and local executive search firms, Gita now runs her own executive search consultancy business, Hampton Kibel Research Pty Ltd (HKR). HKR specialises in senior level research and executive search for executive search firms and corporations in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, USA, South Africa and Asia.

Gita has successfully executed assignments across the financial services, consumer products, information technology, manufacturing, and industrial sectors, as well as the government and academia sectors. She has successfully completed research assignments at Board, Chief Executive and General Management level offshore as well as in Australia.

In her last held role of Regional Head of Research for O’Neill Baillieu (formerly Fleming Goodfellow & Stewart) Gita was responsible for developing and managing the research teams in Sydney and Hong Kong. She also sourced and managed the implementation of a new database for the group, trained all staff on its effective use which included monitoring and reviewing “glitches” within the new upgrade.

As Head of Research, she developed search strategies for senior level search assignments including targeting specific companies and identifying relevant sources and prospects. She participated in candidate development by sourcing knowledgeable industry sources and contacting and qualifying prospective candidates (telephone interviews). She was responsible for supporting business development efforts by providing consultants with information on potential new client companies, industry segments, competitors and potential target companies. As such, it was essential that she kept abreast of market developments, local and overseas, including industry overviews and market trends, company profiles and identification of leaders within the industry sectors.

She was previously a senior researcher at Heidrick and Struggles. Gita holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, a Graduate Certificate in Business (Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies), from QUT's Australian Centre for Philanthropy & Non Profit Studies and speaks several Asian languages.
